Conducting the perfect job interview: Part 2 [Video]
Welcome back!
In Part One, we discussed some interview question essentials. Now we'll go over the other majorly important parts of the process.
Going the distance to make applicants feel comfortable tells them good things about your company culture, so set the interview in a quiet setting like an empty conference room. Using your office is also fine, but ensure that you won't be interrupted.
You can be unconventional with your questions - they can be open-ended, structured around problem-solving or really anything beyond simple yes-or-no queries.
Finally, when your process is complete, vet all candidates' references thoroughly so that you're not dealing with headaches down the road - such as i-9 compliance violations - when the position is filled.
